When you flip on a track from E.M.D.F (Embrace My Darkest Fear) you get the sense that you are seeing a digital vision of darkness and seduction. The sinister yet catchy synths that are perfectly complimented with a driving section of guitar, drums, and bass all define that sound that was defined by Daniel Dazgic, lead singer and songwriter.
We shot Daniel some questions about the band, and here’s what he had to say:
CRIMSON MEDIA (CM): How long have you been writing tracks for the band?
DANIEL: About 3 years.
CM: Did it take a while to get the current line-up for the band?
DANIEL: This line up has been together for a little over a year. We went through a few changes, but me and Walter (Drummer) are the only OG members. When it came time to get Patrick on bass it was a no-brainer: he’s played with me and Walter in bands for the last 15 years and we all click. Bert we met through a friend and we knew he was the right guy for the band from the first practice we had with him .This line up is my personal favorite everyone gets along, and thats what matters.
CM: What are some of your influences for the sound?
DANIEL: Rammstein, Tatu, Pain, Lindermann, Emigrate
CM: Where do you play around Vegas?
DANIEL: Vamp’d Divebar, House of Blues, Triple Bs, Beauty Bar
CM: When are you coming to California?
DANIEL: Asap we are trying to set up a show def in the next few months.
CM: What’s in store for the band?
DANIEL: We just released our second video for Lost in a Dream. The next step: we are planing to do another video by the end of next month. We are also planing on recording our second EP, we are still looking for the right studio. And finally we are playing a few shows: we have a show with John5 march 18th at Vamp’d in April, a show at House of Blues and a few more planed hopefully playing LA too.
